What is Red Light Therapy?

It’s a painless and relaxing service that takes about 15 minutes. During your session, you’ll be in a private room with a contoured bed that emits red light. The process is 100% natural, drug and chemical free, non-abrasive, non-ablative (does not damage the skin), painless, safe for all skin types and ages, requires zero downtime or recovery.

 

How does Red Light Therapy Work?

It uses low levels of red and near-infrared light to help power your cells and promote healing and energy. Red Light can penetrate the skin to a depth of 8-10 mm. to reach underlying tissues and stimulate cellular activity/regeneration. The low level, targeted wavelength produced by the bed will be absorbed by the mitochondria in your body. Mitochondria is responsible for many important processes in your day-to-day health, including healing abilities and energy production. Mitochondria is said to be the “power plant” in our body’s cells. When the cells in our body are given this extra energy, they can do their jobs more efficiently. Depending on which wavelength is chosen for the Red Light, different areas will be targeted.

Yes! Red Light Therapy uses very low levels of heat and wavelengths that do not hurt or burn the skin. Unlike tanning beds, Red Light Therapy won’t expose skin to damaging UV rays. There are no known negative side effects of using Red Light Therapy.

How will Red Light Therapy help with fat loss?

Red Light Therapy triggers the formation of small openings in pores or fat cells, which release fatty acids known as lipids. With consistent use of Red Light Therapy, these fat cells will release the lipids/fatty acids into your body and then you’ll excrete these lipids naturally.

 

 

How do I prepare for a Red Light Therapy Session?

It’s best to avoid eating 1 hour prior to your session and 1 hour after. Lotions and sunscreen will minimize the effect of the light, so coming with bare skin is best. We recommend drinking at least 30 oz. of water before your session followed by 90+ oz. throughout the rest of the day. Once you arrive, you will undress as much as you’re comfortable doing to maximize results. Red Light can not penetrate through clothing.

 

 

How do I maximize my results?

To maximize your results, consistency is key! The more frequently you use Red Light Therapy, the better the results will be. You might see results after just 1 session, but multiple sessions are needed to maximize results. It is recommended to use Red Light Therapy 2-3x/week for 2 to 3 months and then 1 weekly session to maintain your results.  It’s like exercise for your cells. You can’t gain muscle after lifting weight for just 1 day. The other way to maximize results is to fuel your body with proper nutrition and plenty of water. Once the cells begin to repair/regenerate, the toxins need to be released from your body. Drinking plenty of water will help flush the toxins and support the detoxification process.
